Better late than never! Yesterday, we ventured out into the heat to complete Walk Thirty-Nine: Hanham and Barr’s Court. The circuit, suggested by a reader, explores a variety of green spaces in and around Hanham and Longwell Green, on the east fringe of the Bristol urban area. Key features include the modern eco-homes at Hanham Hall, the wilderness of Cock Road Ridge, the historic moat at Barr’s Court Park and, finally, a pleasant stroll along the River Avon at Hanham Lock.
Future web site updates will seek to fill in some of the gaps in my coverage of the east Bristol sprawl.
