Unfinished business in south Bristol…

Vauxhall Bridge and A-Bond warehouse

We have been taking the ‘stay local’ advice pretty seriously during lockdown, but the half term holidays call for slightly more flexibility if we’re going to stay sane. Despite the grey weather, therefore, we went out to do a walk that we could reach with only a short drive from home.

Walk Seven: The New Cut and Southville has been delayed by the collapse of the Chocolate Path near Cumberland Road, but I have decided that the time has come to publish it – albeit with a fairly lengthy diversion route via the City Docks. The walk is not the most exciting offering in my collection, perhaps, but it completes the initial exploration of the Inner Suburbs and includes such features as the River Avon New Cut, the pleasant Greville Smyth Park and the lively shopping area of North Street. Enjoy!
