A spring stroll around Long Ashton

All Saints’ Church

The village of Long Ashton has been bypassed for so long that it’s not really on most Bristolians’ radars. It just sits there quietly at the side of the Ashton Brook valley, often seen, but seldom visited – unless you’re in the habit of cycling the Festival Way.

Walk Thirty-Eight: Long Ashton explores this quiet neighbourhood and finds a surprising wealth of pleasant paths, quiet green spaces and interesting historic buildings. It’s a modest 3-mile circuit that is ideal for a short afternoon stroll at any time of year.
