I’m very pleased to be bringing you a new walk tonight. Despite it being one of my favourite Bristol walks, the publication of Walk Six: The Clifton Hillside has been delayed by the long-term closure of a small but important part of the route. However, the opportunity of a rare beautiful Saturday afternoon in December was too good to miss, and I have now released the walk with a diversion route provided for the closed section at Church Path Steps.
This walk is a real treat if you enjoy exploring the more eccentric corners of Bristol’s historic areas, as the lower parts of Clifton, along with neighbouring Clifton Wood and Hotwells, have them in abundance. Walk Six explores the area in detail – at the cost of multiple climbs up steep hills and steps!
