Cities are always changing, and at this point in the history of Mike’s Bristol Walks several of my walks could do with an update; however, none more so than Walk 34 – Hallen and Avonmouth North where a new access track has been laid on the grassy bank just off Moorhouse Lane and, after a period of closure, Lawrence Weston Road has been upgraded to a high quality cycle path with lighting.
The changes have robbed Lawrence Weston Road of some of its original ‘lost in time’ character, but the walk is still a unique entry in my library that is well worth doing. The walk guide has been updated with new photos for the changed areas and revised instructions to better negotiate the area around the new access track.
